For decades, the Adrian Mall served as the retail heart of Lenawee County. As shopping habits evolved and the regional retail landscape shifted, the property was acquired with a bold vision: to reimagine the site as a modern, open-format retail destination anchored by nationally recognized brands.
Howard Center Adrian is that vision in progress. The former enclosed mall is being transformed into a thriving power center, already home to Dunham's Sports, Hobby Lobby, and Ollie's Bargain Outlet — three high-performing national retailers drawing shoppers from across Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio.
With over 200,000 square feet of available space, two prime out lot redevelopment sites, and a planned 93,000 SF climate-controlled self storage facility opening Spring 2027, Howard Center is actively growing. New retail construction is planned along the US-223 corridor, with additional tenants expected to open in 2027.
